Wręczenie nagród w konkursie wiedzy o krajach Grupy Wyszehradzkiej

22 października odbyło się wręczenie nagród w konkursie wiedzy o krajach Grupy Wyszehradzkiej. Zwycięzcami konkursu zostali:

Contest “I know the countries of Visegrad Group”

On October 19th a written contest testing the geographical as well as cultural knowledge of the countries bolonging to the Visegrad Group took place. The students of the School No 6 in Gorlice participated in the contest, where they had to answer multiple questions about the Visegrad Fund and the Group. The test is to be checked on Sunday, October 21^st and the results are to be displayed on Monday, October 22^nd.

Primary School Number Six Friends’ Association in Gorlice together with Primary School No 6 in Gorlice and the partner schools from Slovakia, Hungary and the Czech Republic is realising a project entitled “Let’s meet and present the countries of Visegrad Group” financed by the Visegrad Fund.

            Among others, the activities within the project included youth exchange between the School No 6 in Gorlice and the schools from Bardejov and Nyireghaza, trips around the Malopolska region, a photo exhibition and the multimedia presentation prepared by the school as well as the parter schools. Moreover, a written contest testing the knowledge of the Visegrad Fund as well as the culture and geography of the countries of  Visegrad Group took place. All the students of  the School No 6 in Gorlice had a chance to take part in the project’s activities.

Multimedia presentation “Let’s present the countries of Visegrad Group”

On the 28^th of September, in Miejski Zespół Szkół No 6 in Gorlice, a multimedia presentation prepared by Polish teachers and students as well as the teachers from the Czech Republic was shown. Its aim was to present the project participants’ knowledge they possess about the Visegrad Group countries acquired by getting involved in the projects up to now in front of the pupils and teachers of the school, giving them an opportunity to raise one's own intercultural awareness. What is more, every member of the audience was given a leaflet summarising the whole presentation.

A photo exhibition “Let’s meet the countries of Visegrad Group”

On September 27th 2012, Miejski Zespół Szkół No 6 in Gorlice organised a photo exhibition “Let’s meet the countries of Visegrad Group”. It’s purpose was to inform the local community as well as the school’s students and the staff about the Visegrad Fund and the activities involved in realising the “Let’s meet and present the countries of Visegrad Group” project. This exhibition involved some general information concerning the Visegrad Fund as well as the photos of what has been done within the project’s activities. Among others, the presentation included the photos of all the tours abroad as well as the visits in the school related to youth exchange between our school and the partner schools.

I relax in a healthy way - come with me.

An event “I relax in a healthy way – come with me” took place on 26^th of September. Students from the Secondary School wandered from Zdynia, Wysowa and Kwiatoń to Regetów. During the trip we stopped in a lot of cemeteries and our history teacher – Mrs. Skałba told us a lot of interesting information about them. When we arrived to Regetów, we had a time for fun and integration games. Then we grilled sausages. Next, a so called “baptism” of students from first class of Secondary School took place. There were a lot of competitions like tug of war, painting our teacher’s portrait with our hands and eating strange things blindfolded. At the end a commemorative photo with slices of lemon in our mouth was taken. Everyone had a funny face. We had great fun and we are already waiting for a next hike next year!

EXPLORING THE COUNTRIES OF VISEGRAD GROUP ON FOOT – first part

On September 20th, the first part of an event called “Exploring the countries of Visegrad Group on foot” took place. It was the ninth time that the pupils of Primary School No 6 in Gorlice participated in such an event. The students hiked along the tracks of Beskid Niski region which this year led to a picturesque place named Wapienne. Despite the pouring rain and rather cold temperature, the young participants had not lost their good sense of humour. After arriving in Wapienne, they were welcomed with a hot snack and delicious tea with home-made raspberry syrup.

A Summary of the Project's activities.

On the 29th of June, during the formal ending of the school year, the students of the school were presented a multimedia presentation related to the “Let’s meet and present the countries of Visegrad Group” project. The students learned about the Visegrad Fund and  its activities. What is more, they were shown pictures of what has been done within the project’s May and June activities. The presentation included pictures of all the tours abroad as well as the  visits in the school related to youth exchange between our school and the partner schools. Additionally, the dance group from our school presented the Polish national dances and folk songs. The presentation was met with great interest. At the end of the academy three students who were most active in the past as well as the current Visegrad project received very valuable prizes purchased from the money received from the Fund.

On June 19th 2012 about forty students from our school went for a trip to sightsee the Malopolska region. We had a nice driver who was telling about places which were on our way. We saw some interesting places. First we visited a small church in Dębno. It’s one of the oldest churches in Poland. There are a lot of old, valuable things inside like for example a king’s flag. Next we went to Niedzica. There we saw a beautiful dam and a castle. We also toured hydroelectric power station, where we saw some strange machines. At the end we visited Stary Sącz. There are old, nice buildings and the papal altar, which was visited by John Paul II. Everyone enjoyed the trip. We had a great time!

On 19 June students from our school  were on a trip to Pieniny. First we visited a church in Dębno. It is 500 years old. Next, we went to Nidzica to watch the dam. The guide told us how the dam works and why it was build. After visiting the dam we went to the castle in Nidzica. We took a lot of photos there. Then we went to a restaurant, because we were starving! The dinner was delicious, especially the dessert, for which we got huuuge ice-cream, mniam! Next we came back to our houses. This trip was very interesting.

Dnia 19 czerwca około 40 uczniów naszej szkoły pojechało na wycieczkę w okolice Dębna, Niedzicy finansowaną przez Fundusz Wyszehradzki Pierwszym punktem naszej wycieczki była niewielka wieś Dębno, gdzie znajduje się kościół pod wezwaniem  św. Michała Archanioła. Świątynia jest jednym z najstarszych, gotyckich kościołów na ziemiach Polski. Zbudowana jest w całości z drewna, bez użycia gwoździ. W kościele znajduje się wiele cennych zabytków do najciekawszych należy XVI- wieczna, haftowana chorągiew wojenna z wizerunkiem św. Stanisława ze Szczepanowa, tą pamiątkę zostawiły po sobie wojska Jana III Sobieskiego wracając ze zwycięskiej bitwy spod Wiednia. Ogromne wrażenie robią także dzwonki z XV wieku. Skala tego instrumentu jest określana mianem gamy perskiej, to znaczy że sztabka cienka wydaje dźwięk najniższy, a najgrubsza ton wysoki. Osobiście mnie najbardziej podobały się zabytkowe cymbałki, gdyż interesuje się muzyka, ta część wycieczki podobała mi się najbardziej.

Kolejnym ważnym przystankiem naszej wycieczki była w Elektrownia Wodna w Niedzicy. Zapora i zbiornik wodny zostały zbudowane w celu obniżenia kulminacji powodziowych, a także wykorzystania energetycznego potencjału wody. Zapora w Niedzicy jest najwyższą w Polsce zaporą ziemną. Przewodnik pokazywał nam wnętrze elektrowni, czyli pomieszczenia technologiczne elektrowni wraz z urządzeniami do produkcji prądu, a także podziemny tunel - galeria kontrolna zapory poprowadzona w skale, 50 m pod wodą i nasypem zapory. Zwiedzanie elektrowni było bardzo interesującym zdarzeniem ponieważ mogliśmy poznać prace elektrowni od środka. Następnie wyszliśmy na koronę zapory, skąd podziwialiśmy piękny widok, dalej poszliśmy w kierunku zamku w Niedzicy. Wracając oglądnęliśmy zabytkową zabudowę Starego Sącza i Ołtarz Papieski. Mamy zadzieje że takich ciekawych wycieczek będzie więcej.

Polscy uczniowie na Słowacji.

Dnia 14.06. 2012 klasy 3 szkoły podstawowej pojechały do Słowacji na wycieczkę. A oto program, jak spędziły ten dzień: zabawy na basenie Wellness Spa w Kupelach Bardiowskich,  zwiedzenie Skansenu Budownictwa Ludowego w Kupelach,  degustacja wód mineralnych w pijalni i spacer po uzdrowisku,  obiad, zwiedzanie szkoły na Vinbargu w Bardejovie i spotkanie z rówiesnikami, obejrzenie spektaklu fontann w Bardejowie, zwiedzanie katedry św. Idziego oraz wyjście na wieżę po 182 schodach,  oglądanie ekspozycji w Muzeum Przyrodnicznym w Bardejovie,  obejrzenie amfiteatru, degustacja lodów,  spacer na basztę i mury obronne dawnego grodu Bardejova.
